I have a 6 month old pitbull boy and he has chewed up every toy he has owned. But this toy has been the best toy he's ever had. It's the perfect size, SUPER tough, and my dog is in love with it. He refuses to leave the house without it. The best toy for those really hyper aggressive dogs that love to chew .

This toy has been one of the longest lasting toys our 1 year old boxer-mix has had. She is a really aggressive chewer and usually destroys toys in minutes. If the toy is labeled for "aggressive chewers" it might take her 3-4 days, but eventually she tears them all apart. NOT THIS ONE! This one has held up REALLY well for MONTHS! The material is really thick and strong, but still a softish-rubber so I'm not worried about it hurting her teeth. The only con is that the squeaker is REALLY loud and sounds like a duck, not a squeak (rather odd). For how much entertainment and enjoyment our girl gets out of this thing, we can deal with the loud squeak. It's my go-to and has made me a believer in the JW Pet company toys-- anxious to try out more!

Hands down, the best dog toy I've purchased in the last 2 years!Walter is a 2 year old, rescue pit and 65 pounds of love. Whether it is tug-a-war or fetch, this toy has outlasted any other we've bought. Now going on 3 months, I have bought two of these since one is dedicated for fetch outside.- Playing tug-a-war is extremely easy because it has an elastic quality so has he tugs it bounces back so not much effort holding it.- COOL TIP: For heavy biters, don't expect the squeaker to last a while.... BUT a really cool trick is to put a big dog treat inside where the squeaker used to be or peanut butter on the inside.- Perfect size for medium to bigger dogs (40lbs +) (can't speak for small dogs sorry!).If you have a dog who can tear through any toy, you need to try out the bowling pin.

I have a 1 year old Boston Terrier that loves to chew. He destroys all his toys quickly. He loves squeakers, but they only last for about one day before he destroys it. The only toy that lasted for a while was a fire hose, but squeakers in it were destroyed very fast. This toy was delivered on August 11 and now is September 6. It's still has a functional squeaker and don't have any holes in it because the rubber is very thick. My Boston played with it since he got it and loves it. Bottom of the toy is narrow and the squeaker set in so he can't get to it and tore it out. Wonderful toy for a dog with a wider mouth like a bulldog. I definitely will buy this toy again. Thank you so much for a great product.

This would be a great toy! But my dogs are scared of the "squeak". I say it like that because it's more like a VERY loud duck call. Quite heavy (I bought a large) and seems like it's gonna last a long time, because they won't touch it!

Awesome!!! My dogs found one in the woods last summer (and its still whole!), we finally decided to order new ones. I have a pit bull (very aggressive chewer) and another large dog (mastwieller). The one from the woods is still around (minus the squeaker)! They love them and I'm amazed all of them are still intact! Will definitely buy more in the future!(The squeaker is more like a duck call... more tolerable than the squeaker... would love more if they would make dog toys without squeaking anything!)Edit Nov. 15, 2016All three are still intact and dogs still love them! We bought a few "tuff dog" toys for more than I care to spend on a chew toy that were literally shredded in less than 3 days! Even the fire hose toys were destroyed in days. These bowling pins were the best spent money for dog chews!Picture is the remains of said "tuff dog" toys for aggressive chewers!

I am quite impressed with this toy! Our dog absolutely loves chew toys, especially the squeaky ones! ...and this one lasted longer than any other we have tried (we have a dog that chews to destroy!). We tried several chew toys by another major dog toy manufacturer (starts with a "K"), but our dog would destroy their "tough" toys in a matter of about 30-60 minutes of attended play. With this toy, our dog focused on the squeaky end and dislodged the squeaker in about a week (which we then removed to prevent swallowing). The toy has lasted (without the squeaker) for about 6 weeks of hard chewing. It has a few holes now, but is still intact and I can still play "tug-of-war" which is the dogs favorite. Will buy this one again (when this one finally gives up the ghost!).

This particular bowling pin toy is one of the only toys that has lasted through many years with my two terrors...excuse me, I mean terriers. They have destroyed countless plush, rubber, and "super tuff" toys made from Kevlar. The reason this toy has lasted is because there are no real protruding extraneous pieces for them to gnaw off. They may have managed a few knicks on the outside but that's it. This toy continues to squeak and they both still love to play with them even after all these years. I will continue to purchase these for my dogs when/if the old ones get too dirty and for gifts for friend's playful pups.
