My dog doesn't really understand the concept of playing, but she likes to chew. I got this for her in the hopes that she'd gnaw on it. There is now very little of it left, so I thought it time to leave a review.First of all, my dog, a 3.5 year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, loves it. She loves gnawing off the strands and eating them. Unfortunately, due to the design, she doesn't eat a little at a time -- she will swallow an entire strand whole! Luckily, it goes right through her digestion within about twelve hours and comes out whole, but that's still very worrying. Because I can't always get the strands away from her in time (I try, but she's sneaky), I will not be purchasing this again.I will say that for a smaller dog like her (she's 19 pounds), there is a good amount of chewing that goes into destroying this toy. She's had it and loved it for a couple of weeks, and she took to it immediately.

my puppy is 6lbs with razor sharp puppy teeth. there are so many different parts to chew on this, he doesn't do much damage to any one too much at any given point in time. my absolute favorite part is the handle. i walk around holding it and he follows me, pulling on it. some of the strips pull through the middle (but don't come out completely), which is fine by me because my dog loves yanking them through. so it won't exactly retain its exact shape, but it makes it extra fun for them. the material is Wubba like and like all toys, one day it will be completely ripped apart, but he's going to have to tear a lot of limbs off this octopus

We got this for our Great Dane puppy, she is 8.5 weeks old. It is her favorite toy. It's great as a distraction for her when she starts to chew on something she is not suppose to...we just offer her the happy moppy and she takes it immediately. She also sleeps with it in her crate. We have had it almost a week so far and it has held up nicely. No tears or seams coming apart. The strips of cloth offer a variety of textures and are gentle on her puppy teeth. We have played tug a war with it as well. Though given the other reviews about it falling apart easily I was nervous. So far it has held up.It is a bit smaller than I was expecting. I originally saw this toy in a large pet store but didn't feel like paying $30 for it. Looked on amazon and like everything else in that store amazon offered it at almost half the price. The store only had one size and the packaging doesn't tell you a size so I had to guess on small, medium, or large. I went with medium and the one in the store was a large....Still a steal vs the box store....Current amazon price is 19 vs the pet store at 30! I will be ordering the large as our Dane is growing quickly and this will quickly be too small for her.
