I love these balls!! We've now on our fourth one, so "indestructible" might be a bit of a stretch, but dogs chew ... especially mine!! She destroys all typical chew toys, some within minutes if not seconds (to put it in perspective, when she was a 6month old puppy, she chewed through one of the black kongs that is meant for tough chewers in only ONE night!!). This ball stands the test of time, which for us means lasting at least a month or two!I see a lot of reviewers complaining about the "world" pieces coming off ... and yes, that 100% definitely will happen if you have any sort of tough chewer in your house. Solution is simple though - as soon as you see the edge of one of the pieces coming off, grab a pair of pliers and just rip the whole piece off! Once the entire world is off, the rest of the ball is pretty much indestructible. The point of failure (at least for my dog) is always near the hole that is on one end of the ball and is where you insert the treats. After a few months, she'll get it to crack, and once that crack shows up it's just a matter of time before she can start getting chunks of the ball off. For what it's worth - she has swallowed some pieces and has passed them with no issue. The material the ball is made of seems to break off in small pieces rather than just breaking completely in half, which doesn't guarantee safe passage through your dog's system, but certainly helps! We've used the medium and small sizes as well as the purple and the glow in the dark versions. The glow one does glow bright, but needs to be held close to a light source or in direct sunlight for it to work best.Overall, even for the toughest of chewers, this ball is a great value.Read more ›

He LOVES his new Planet ball! If he doesn't like a toy, it is destroyed in under an hour. If he doesn't attempt to destroy it, then you know you've got a winner! He's a bit on the dumb side.. we love him but he's not the brightest dog in the world, I started filling his ball with treats, and at first he didn't understand the correlation between the ball and the treats.. so he seemed to think treats were randomly scattered through the house, but after a few weeks he seemed to understand.. now he nudges the ball around with his nose so the treats roll out! :) Yay! We already have a smarter dog!I am hoping for us to get a beagle puppy within a few months so I bought this one, the slightly smaller glow in the dark one with my first order(still packaged until new puppy comes). He loved this toy so much I ordered another to save in case anything were to happen to it!There IS a minty smell.. it didn't smell all that awesome, but wasn't too bad, but it wore off within about a month.

***UPDATE*** 12/18/14We have had this ball for over a month, and aside from all of the continents being torn off, it has held up! Our FozzyBear loves to chew on something soft, but he has destroyed and eaten every toy he's ever had. I've gotten the evidence picking up his beloved toys one last time in the backyard. This one is a great toy! You do HAVE to watch your dog with it while the continents are intact, but it's not a dangerous toy once they're gone. Our dog has destroyed literally EVERYTHING, and yet, the Orbee Tuff planet ball remains.------------So far, this ball has been the only thing that our monster chewer (Aussie/Great Dane mix) hasn't been able to destroy in 5 minutes or less (aside from Nylabones). Granted, he has only had his mouth on it for about an hour, but for him, that's like decades! It's nice to have a toy that's kinda soft for him to chew on, since all we've been able to give him are Nylabones, but from the pile of throw pillows from the couch that are now destroyed, I can tell that he wants something soft, which this satisfies - but without being a total waste of money. Like all the other reviews, I have to say that the "continents" come off pretty easy, but the ball itself remains intact. It smells really good too. :)I know The Fozz will be able to tear this thing apart eventually, but for the effort and time he's put into trying, it's held up well. We will buy this again, and we will certainly recommend.

This is my puppy's new favorite toy. She seems to like how "squishy" it is.It is almost certainly not indestructible, as no toy is. I'm using the ball as a training toy, so she is NEVER left with it unsupervised. On that note, it was very easy to add a rope to it for this purpose.ETA: Since I see so many people (on all toys) commenting that their dogs destroyed the toy, I thought that I would add which toy has held up the best for my dogs. My dogs go nuts over the blue racquetball balls, and they have only managed to destroy one (it broke in half after using it for about a year, much of that time it was left outdoors). They are the only toys I will leave alone with dogs that like to destroy their toys. I'm NOT saying they are indestructible, just stating that I have had the most luck with them. And they are cheap, only a few dollars for 3 at Walmart. I THINK these are the same ones: http://www.amazon.com/Penn-Ultra-Blue-Racquetball-3-Cn/dp/B002LGF9L6/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1426014854&sr=8-7&keywords=handball
