★★★★☆ Four StarsWe call this lobster "Lana" (our dog's other favorite lobster toy is "Larry"). Our dog loves Lana. He loves carrying her around, drooling all over her, and chasing her all over the house after we throw her.We try to be cruelty-free, but when you're dealing with a stuffed lobster that "bubbles", you can't help but be a little cruel to the critter to make your dog happy. We have almost every Look Who's Talking plush now. Aside from the death of the sound within a half-second, we really love them. This is the only reason why I give four stars for them. We record the sound or take the box out before we hand them to our dog so we get more life out of the sound.A great price for a great little toy.
★★★★★ Five StarsJust buying this one as a backup. I got my first bubbling lobster 19 years ago. It's gone through two Chihuahuas and now my MInPin has it. It still works, is intact, and has had almost daily play. I don't know how it's still bubbling, but it is. It's a little worn out - missing a little fluff here and there, but it's still a loved toy. I only bought a 2nd one because my minpin loves it so much I want to keep one at the sitter's. You can see on the tag my first one was manufactured in 1999
★★★★☆ Four StarsMy boston terrier loves the multipet toys. If she's excited she'll play with squeaky stuffed toys but when she's getting into trouble, the sounds these toys make are enough to distract her. The lobster is probably her favorite. She's already torn a claw off and its working on the other legs. If your dog is a "dissector" that loves to take apart its toys, these will not last for you. My dog is a chewer but she's small, so these toys generally last a few months. One thing I would like to see as a design improvement is to have the noise maker in some kind of netting that would be sewn down into the toy. She tends to want to tear it out and also manages to eat the stuffing if I don't watch her. Having better compartmentalization for the stuffing might be nice too. The great thing about the noisemakers though, once she tears them out, I can always stuff them into another toy for her. The Kong stuffed toys do not have stuffing and have a velcro compartment for the squeaker, reusing the noisemakers from these toys in those tends to work out pretty well (although it's funny to have a little duck making a monkey noise haha).
★★★★☆ Four StarsMy dog is insane over some toys that make noise like this that I found at Wal-Mart a few years ago. She has worn them out so I went looking for more. With those ones, all she had to do was shake them and they made noise so she did so constantly. While this doesn't make noise nearly so easily, she still loves it. On these, when the dog squeezes them they make a noise...in this case you hear bubbles coming from the lobster. For a dog with a tiny mouth like a pomeranian, they might carry it by a leg or tentacle and not be able to create a noise but still, when I throw it in a game of fetch and I squeeze it she just goes wild. There is something instinctive about them grabbing something and it making a noise that makes them have crazy fun with these.Of the monkey, frog, and lobster the lobster is her favorite of this brand.
★★★★★ Five StarsI bought this toy a few years ago for my Miniature Dachshund when she was just a pup. She LOVED the toy; always played with it and ran around the house with it in her mouth with such pride. A friend of mine came over with her Border Collie and her dog broke the noise maker. :( I could not believe how sad my dog was over this. Every time that she went to get her favourite lobster toy, she would always bite at its stomach just waiting for bubbly noises. (I have to admit, bubble noises are way more tolerant than your typical squeaky toys) I felt so bad for her, so I searched high and low and finally ordered online. My dog is so happy to have her favourite toy back!
★★★★☆ Four StarsI guess my dog loved it ... she had it in pieces the same day I gave it to her. Puppy teeth and constant gnawing were its downfall. I liked the bubble sound as it was different than the squeakers in the other toys. I'd buy again if she'd stop shredding her toys!
