★★★★★ Five StarsThis comb is a miracle!I just got a beautiful baby boy Biewer Terrier with the most frustrating hair...it mats constantly! Being a long time Yorkie owner I thought I was prepared for the hair, but I've never experienced this level of mats and tangles in any dog.I purchased two combs - the JW brand and one other brand. The JW Pet Co comb was wonderful. With slight pressure and the rotating pins, I was able to remove most of the mats easily without scissors or shaving the dog down. The other comb's pins were too short and will be returned to Amazon. You won't regret purchasing this comb. I'm actually going to purchase another one!
★★★★★ Five StarsI absolutely love this comb...and I don't only use it on my dog. I use it on my hair, as well, since it works so well on tangles.I don't think that Bear (our pomeranian) minds when I use it...at least he has never commented on it, and he normally has an awful lot to say about almost everything! It must be the rotating teeth that make it so much easier to get through my hair, especially when it is wet.Of course, it's that same characteristic that enables me to spend more time grooming Bear than he normally is comfortable with., and to make more progress while doing it. The rotating teeth seem to slide through the hair (and the fur) much, much more easily than a regular comb or brush does. What a relief when grooming my little Bear. During grooming, if I pull his fur or otherwise do anything that hurts, he looks at me like "how could you do that to me, and why? Don't you love me anymore?" Then he climbs up onto my shoulder / upper chest and curls up as small as he can so that he feels safe from the evil brush (or comb).Well, that rarely happens with this comb, because it tends to glide through the fur so much more easily than other grooming tools. It isn't a miracle tool, and it still takes quite a bit of effort to get through those matts that seen you come from nowhere overnight, don't get me wrong...but it sure does make it easier. One half of the comb has teeth that are spaced further apart than the other side, giving you two different levels of difficulty, that is, it is best to begin by using the wider set teeth and working up to the ones that are closer together, so that the fur does not get pulled as much. Of course, starting at the end of the fur and working your way in is a given, to avoid needless pain and pulling off the fur.We love this comb!I don't think you or your dog will be disappointed in this comb.
★★★★★ Five StarsI have 2 shih tzus. My one dog really hated getting her hair combed out. But it came time to get a brush and I got this one as it looked similar to their last one. However this one has "loose teeth". When I heard it rattling around in the package I thought it was broken, but it is just the way the teeth of the comb are. My one pup, who hates her brushing, actually lets me brush her with this one. I think it is gentler with the teeth allowing some movement. I don't know why this brush is so night and day in use but we are really happy with it. I know it won't be the case for every dog, we were just super surprised at her reaction to this comb.
★★★★☆ Four StarsThis comb is very different than an average comb. I thought I was getting a 5 inch grip comb, but got a 7.5 size grip. It glides through my babies hair very nicely. I just would rather have a smaller one. My babies are only 5.2 & 4.8 lbs. Overall I really like the comb & would recommend it to my friends.
★★★★★ Five StarsI have a dog with long silky hair that tangles easily. A Judge friend from Australia suggested I try and use this particular comb. It really works, less wear and tear on the coat, less time trying to untangle a knot. The rubber grip is great, no slippage there. Really like this product.
★★★★★ Five StarsWe have a long haired cat that was getting a lot of mats that were difficult to take out of her fur. This comb (although made for dogs) broke down and removed the mats in her fur while keeping our cat fairly calm during what could have been quite an ordeal. Now that the mats are out it is handy to comb her out occasionally to keep the mats from building up again.
★★★★★ Five StarsI have a 20 month old Havanese who would rather be doing anything other than getting her hair combed. My brother had this comb for his buddy and I tried it on mine and was actually able to get through a short grooming session with minimal squirming - I was hooked! I use it for her face, ears, and tail, and she actually sits there for it. The old comb was the standard metal and she couldn't stand it. Somehow the rotating flexibility of the teeth on this comb reduces pulling, and she always looks great after her daily groom! I would highly recommend this comb for all the human canine companions out there, especially if your bud is a squirmer :)
★★★★★ Five StarsThis comb is described as "5-inch" so I was a bit reluctant to buy it, but I really wanted a comb with rotating teeth. I was very surprised and pleased to discover upon its arrival that the handle is 8 inches and there are 7 inches of rotating teeth. Perfect. My dog and I thank you. The rotating teeth glide through very thick hair (sheltie) with ease.
