★★★★★ Five StarsGreat product, the rotating pins are the shorter pins, they don't all rotate. It makes a difference on how much pulling happens to the fur, as we have the 'sister' brush as will (without the rotating pins). This brush is preferred by our fuzzy friends; all I have to do is pick it up and they come over to get brushed. Great buy, good price. I might have to get a second one.* I'm just an every day consumer and not being paid to write this review. I have no connection to this company or seller in any way. I hope this review helps.
★★★★☆ Four StarsThough I have arctic breeds with heavy double coats requiring a substantial grooming tool, I bought this as an experiment:I foster Malamute puppies and adult rescues with multiple touch issues and aversions (some severe), and have a senior Mal with a thick wooly coat.None of these particular pups/dogs liked being groomed, because it's a totally new experience, they are adverse to being handled, they have never been properly groomed due to technique and/or proper combs, their coat is matted and full of nasty things, they are old and fussy... this list is endless. And you are at the end of your rope wondering what to do.This comb, for arctic breeds, is NOT a grooming tool. It may be a grooming tool, but is not effective as such for these heavy and double coated breeds. It may be a grooming tool for other, lighter coated breeds, but I have no experience with those. But for Arctic breeds, this comb IS A GREAT CONDITIONING grooming tool, being a great way to introduce a puppy to the process, or gaining the acceptance and trust of a pup (dog) who has never been groomed or improperly groomed, and/or has a hideously matted coat; or as in the case of my 13 year old wooly Malamute, her coat is coarse, heavy and needs something that will glide through her coat to get it unmatted and ready for a shedding comb or rake.My recent rescue is a 3-year old Giant Mal who arrived with a thick matted coat and stern warnings that he is "Intolerant of touching and grooming". Well, that is now history, because I began grooming him with this comb, the tines facing up, eventually letting these rolling tines slide through his coat, and now he's become a grooming bucket, laying out quietly while I run a rake around him. I still need to be gentle, but after 6 weeks, we have dispelled the claim that this big boy is intolerant. He just needed a gentle beginning, and this comb was that starting point. If you have a pup (dog) with any of the above grooming issues, this may do the trick. Start easy, and let your pup learn the joys of being groomed, comfortable and handsome.
★★★★★ Five StarsThese type of brushes take out all the fuzz that is lingering from the undercoat shedding...which causes matting if not brushed! This brush takes care of that problem! Sometimes you have to comb a little in a different direction depending on how thick your dogs coat is. Then brush the normal direction lightly and watch the fuzz fly! Haha! I really love these brushes! I have a papillon/Pomeranian and a eurasier...works wonders!!!!
★★★★★ Five StarsI bought this shedding comb over a year ago. I have a 90-lb. dog that simply hates being groomed. When I use this comb, he is strangely still, instead of trying to wriggle away. I am slow and gentle with it, starting at the end of his (long) fur and working my way up to the base of the fur. What it pulls out is amazing. If I have brushed him with a slicker and/or used a f*rmint*r and seemingly taken any and all loose fur off him, this comb pulls even more out...lots more! It's amazing. No problems with the teeth bending or with the handle. Happy dog owner, happy dog. I highly recommend this.I received no compensation or discount for this review. None. I'm just a very satisfied customer. Thanks, Evolution!
★★★★★ Five StarsI love the twirling tines in this comb. They really help me to work through the mats in my dogs hair. He seems to tolerate much more with the twirling tines than with standard ones. The handle is also very comfortable. I find it easier to work with this cob for a longer period of time than with some other grooming combs that I have used.
★★★★★ Five StarsGreat for longer haired cats . De- matts smaller matts with ease larger matts to get away from the skin and clip. Great for daily grooming too. Get ready for lots of hair removal. I use at wet paper towel to follow after combing to remove excess hair so that cat doesn't swallow after her grooming.
★★★★★ Five StarsI absolutely live this comb! It's the only comb I've found that will go through my Collie's super thick coat. Removes a tremendous amount of loose undercoat without pulling or hurting my dog. I can't go so far as to say she likes it, but she tolerates it.
★★★★★ Five StarsMy cats hated to be brushed. I tried so many brushes and they would fight and bite each and every one. Then I found this comb. Now they purr when I comb their fur. It makes life ever so much easier, because their fur is so thick that it mats easily. This prevents many mats, but when I encounter one, I don't pull through it, I just reach for my mat breaker. This is a very sturdy product that I am sure will last for year. I bought an extra one for use upstairs.
