LOVE the toy, but it is NOT as pictured. It looks more like the Medium toy, but is larger. This is my second one. They are virtually indestructible (and my dog can destroy most anything)Makes a great water toy, too. It floats, but it has a tendency to stay mostly submerged. Makes it a challenge for the dog to get.Attached picture shows both the Medium and Large size.

My aggressive chewer hasn't managed yet to chew this ball to smithereens so it gets a thumbs up from me! Most toys typically last about an hour as long as they don't have fuzz inside them. If a toy has fuzz inside it, it is evil incarnate and must be destroyed within seconds. His doggie bible says "Thou shalt not suffer a fuzz filled toy to live." He's very devout. But this ball is great! Tennis balls usually last about 10 minutes but this ball is still going strong after a week. He loves chasing after it inside and out and it doesn't get as slobbery and gross as other balls when he brings them back to me and drops them in my lap to toss down the hall again. It's brightly colored so it's easy to find in the yard when he gets distracted by a squirrel or bird or bug or imaginary creature that nobody but he can see or smell. I'll edit my review again when he rips this one to pieces but so far it's actually still in one piece! I'm impressed!

My German Shepherd chews through EVERYTHING we buy him--Tuffy toys at the highest end of their durability scale, pretty much anything with Indestructible in the name, every other toy in the JW Megalast line, and even the black Kongs. But these balls are the holy grail of dog toys! While my dog's normal toy-destruction time averages about an hour or two (the black Kong did make it a little over a week), it took him over two years to finally destroy his first Megalast ball. I stocked up on three with my latest order, but if it weren't for a nosy dog who could smell these things from their "hidden" perch in the closet (they're vanilla-scented), the extras still wouldn't be out yet even after six months of near-constant use. He carries these balls around like they're attached to his mouth and throws/bounces/chews them constantly, but they barely show any signs of wear. I cannot sing the praises of these balls enough!

I have ordered several of these for my GSD. She plays fetch constantly and mouths the ball all the way back. She also sleeps with her ball, she is never without one. Admittedly she does have different brand balls, but JW products are one of my favorite. They are affordable and they last for quite a while and I don't have to worry about them damaging her teeth. @apollospack

Some of the edges of this toy are fraying, but not terribly. My puppy has been playing with it for about 7 weeks now. He loves it. It's pretty heavy duty, but not so heavy duty that he has to play with it outside. We toss it around for him in the house all the time. It also has several places that you can "hide" treats in. This ball has a very unique pattern to it, with several grooves to chew. My "puppy" is an 8-month old chocolate lab who weighs 83 pounds and loves to shred anything he can get his teeth on. He has destroyed 3 toys that claimed to be "virtually indestructible" within 10 minutes or less. So I'd say that we are very happy with this toy. It was worth the $10 or so that I paid for it. We just bought him the JW Megalast Gummi Bear too, and he loves that. It has a cool, deeper squeaking sound to it when you squeeze it, not the usual annoying high-pitched squeaks that most squeaky toys have. So far, I like the JW brand. :)

Our part-Corgi/part-Jack Russell Terrier loves this ball because he can grip it easily with his teeth. We are already on the second one -- he is a super-strong chewer and the edges of this one easily are bitten off. It gets 4 stars instead of 3 because while it is not extremely sturdy or meant for heavy chewers, he loves loves loves it. It takes him about a year to gnaw enough off of it, tiny bit by bit, that he needs a new one -- he doesn't ingest the little pieces; he just loves the sensation of pulling bits off when he has energy to burn. Sometimes I find little red bits from this ball all over my back yard. This is his favorite ball.
