My 6 month miniature Schnauzer LOVES paper. Any kind...toilet paper, paper towels, cardboard, writing paper...if it makes a paper sound he goes for it. I bought this hoping that the tabs & their crinkly sound would take his attention away from everything else in the household. He likes it!! He goes to town rustling & biting those tabs.He also likes playing with me with it...tug of war, fetch like a frisbee, and carries it around looped over his nose with his eyes peeking through the tabs. Hysterical! This is lightweight, which makes it easy for him to flip up and throw around.Keeps his attention for quite awhile, especially once he lays down and crunches those crinkly tabs. So far he has not been able to tear any off.It was smaller than I had expected from viewing the pix of it, however it ends up that it's a great size for him after all.The ring is about 4&1/2 inches across, and tab to tab across is approx 7&3/4 inches. If this were larger he would not be able to play with it as well as he does.I would say this is great for small and medium size dogs.

Wow! Petstages toys are PERFECT for my 8 pound Tibetian Terrier puppy. The "krinkle" sound gets his attention and the design and size make play easy and fun. All the other toys go in a box until he is older. Petstages toys are the only ones he will play with! Hooray for this company, you hit the mark perfectly for small puppy toys. THANK YOU!

Because my puppy -- now dog -- seemed to love things with tags (for example, she would grab onto the tiny cloth tags hanging on to a stuffed toy and use that to drag and throw it around, keeping herself entertained for long stretches of time), I figured this might be a great option for her -- it's ALL tags! We've had it about 6 months and she still gets excited every time we bring it out. Couldn't be happier with this. The crinkle inside some of the tags of fabric is a great addition, and it's very easy to throw around the house -- won't hit/hurt anything, and won't go terribly far so that it's hard to find/retrieve. Probably wouldn't make this an outdoor toy for that reason, but we have many other options for that. I also don't think it would survive a heavy chewer/destroyer. My dog is a poodle-mix-mutt that's only 10.5 pounds at 9 months.

My puppy (11 weeks old, 11 lb pit bull) loves this toy! He likes to run around with it in his mouth, chase it, and mouth it. Half of the tabs make a crinkling sound, so he feels like he is chewing up a plastic bag or some other forbidden item - but no harm to our house! The only problem is our 60lb lab also wants to play with it and likes to play tug of war, and she can easily rip the tabs off. This is great for a small puppy but probably not good for a larger, stronger dog. We have to put it away when both of the dogs are out!UPDATE:Just an hour after my initial review, my 60 lb lab managed to sneakily obtain and it is now in tatters with its stuffing hanging out. So it seems - this toy is good for you if you want a fun toy for a young, weak puppy. If your dog is a strong chewer or likes to rip things apart it won't last long. That being said - I am going to buy a new one for my puppy and keep it well hidden because my puppy liked it SO MUCH.
