My dog LOVES this toy. I gave it to her for Christmas and it's still the only thing she wants to play with. Usually she gets bored with toys in a week. It's been about four weeks and she still loves her hedgehogs. It didn't take her long to figure out how to get the toys out. It used to keep her busy for a while but now it takes about 10 seconds for her to get them all out. She's gotten very fast at getting the hedgehog's out. She still loves to play with them and wants me to load them back up. I always make sure to load them up before I go to work in the morning and they are always all over the house when I get home. I can load other toys in the den as well to mix it up. I'm not sure if all dogs would enjoy this toy but my Maltipoo thinks it's the best. I will be buying other toys from zippy paws in the future.

Cutest weirdest toy for a dog. My dog is a chewer and destroys every toy in 5 minutes. Surprisingly he hasn't destroyed these at all and he plays with them all day long. Great toy for small dogs.

I bought this for my 15 pound dog. This was the perfect size! Very durable material. He is not destructive with his toys so that is a plus. This toy shouldn't be given to dogs that destroy soft toys. The mice are cute! All 3 mice easily fit inside the cheese without getting stuck or tumbling out if the dog plays aggressively and shakes it. My dog loves it!! He will bury his face in the cheese until he can squeak one of the mice, then walks around with the cheese around his nose squeaking away! :)Tip: keep an eye on the mice. Make it a habit to pick them up and put them back in the cheese after play. That way you don't lose the mice.

This is such an adorable toy! My puppy loves it. We wanted to get a toy for him that he would safely chew/squeak that would also make him think a bit. This certainly fits the bill. He has been happily playing with it since we got it about a month ago. He's pretty gentle on both the hedgehogs and the den. It didn't take him long to sort out how to get the little hedgehogs out and after a bit, we would see him doing what looked like trying to stuff them back in. He'll bring them back and forth to us like a game of fetch or just when he wants a little tug of war. The three hedgehogs held up well when it was just the pup playing but once his older siblings got in the game they didn't last as long. Fear not! You can buy a pack of replacements (which is what I'll be doing shortly) if your den is still in good shape. I would recommend this for inquisitive puppies.

for a small dog, she loves playing with squeaky toys and has a ball with these hedgehogs..just the right size for a 10 pound wanna be attack dog.

The ZippyPaws "hide and seek" toys are almost too cute to decide on just one! I got this as an Xmas gift for my dog, and he loves dragging the mice from the holes in the cheese and carrying them around the house. When I put them back inside again, he gets so excited he dances in place for the chance to re-extract them. The squeakers are durable enough for continuous squeaking (HOURS OF IT OMG) - and he likes that each mouse has a slightly different tone to it. He will often look for a specific mouse inside the cheese, whichever is his favorite of the day. A great gift for either small or larger dogs (mine is a 65-pound shepherd breed, and he can JUST fit the tip of his muzzle in the holes to nibble at the mice inside).

My dog loves this. He's a jack russell terrier, and is clearly happiest when burrowing and hunting down little mice like creatures - he likes to "bury" his toys and bones (and once my cellphone...) in our couch cushions. He also loves plush toys. So I knew this toy would be his favorite, and I was right. He can extract these guys in about 10-30 seconds, but is still interested in playing with the hedgehogs and the stump afterwards. He particularly likes the stump because it's a nice big toy (for him, he's pretty small), and the holes make it easy for him to grip it in his mouth - he will play fetch with himself with the toy, by throwing it in the air with his mouth and then running after it.The stump seemed to get a little loose, so we will now shove his duck plush in with the hedgehogs to make it a little more challenging. (We tried sticking his rawhide bone in there too, but he scratched his nose trying to get it out, so I wouldn't recommend that.) This is definitely his favorite new toy, and is also adorable. I'm not sure how long they would last if your dog tends to chew on his toys, but my dog seems more inclined to nibble the fur of his plush toys, and these still look perfect (if pretty slobbery) after a month. The one "negative" is we can never find all three hedgehogs at once, ha. I'm guessing if we searched the couch cushions more often that wouldn't be a problem.Edit: It's now been a year and a half, and this toy is still going strong. My dog still plays with it regularly. We've thrown it in the wash a couple times, and he's constantly nibbling the toys, but despite that we have only found a small hole in one of the hedgehogs which was easy to sew up. It's a great toy.Update: Almost two and a half years, and he still plays with it regularly. None have needed sewing other than that one time either.
