This is an Awesome toy!!! My dogs (2 of them and a foster) LOVE to play tug, but one of my girls has not so great teeth, so ropes basically end up pulling her little front teeth out and make her bleed. :( This toy however doesn't do that- she can tug and tug and tug and no issues! They get it all stretched out in a line, and then it just bounces right back!EXTRA bonus is- when things start to get nuts, I can walk up and just pull this out of all 3 of their mouths. Whatever it's made out of makes it easier since they don't get their teeth actually embedded in the toy, like they would a rope.We also have the blue hurley toy, which is also a favorite with my pups.

I do not understand how this thing could get a negative review! We bought this for out german shepherd, and he loves it! He chews on this thing night and day, and he has not made a dent in it. We play tug, fetch, and find it with this thing, and it has not shown any wear after two months of use. On top of that it has a warranty! Really? A warranty for a dog toy? Unheard of. Do yourself a favor and buy this for your dog. You will not regret it.

We had the Hurley bones and loved them, so I assumed all their products would have the same durability, but that is not the case. My 60 pound dogs chewed through this within minutes. The company has excellent customer service and upheld their guarantee and replaced it for me at no charge (you do have to pay to ship to them). That being said, I wish the picture I attached was posted with their Amazon products because it has durability ratings. If you have dog that chews, they only recommend the tux, Hurley, or jive toys. We now have all three and they've all held up to our tough chewers extremely well!

I've got two 8 month old Golden Retrievers who love to play tug of war with each other, and this thing will stretch until it's completely straight and then spring back into shape when my guys let go of it. They chew on it, stretch it out, and generally abuse the heck out of it and it is none the worse for wear. I've got several other West Paw toys and they all hold up great as well. Highly recommended, and a fabulous deal for the money.

This is the perfect durable rubber toy for dogs. I purchased this toy for our Brittany Spaniel and Golden Retriever (both 7 months). Our pups never took to kongs as they are heavy and uninteresting; they are moderate chewers, and based upon other reviews this seemed like a great toy. When it first arrived both of our pups went crazy. The Golden immediately knew that she could play tug with this toy. It took the Brittany a little longer to figure that out. We also love that this toy does double duty as it is a great fetch and tug toy. So far it has held up very well to the rough play of our two dogs. And if for some reason one of them manages to chew this thing then we will take advantage of the one time replacement.

Our dog has one mission in life: destroying hard and soft toys alike. He pulls chunks out of the brand X toys at the local department store in no time. For quality toys, he can pull pieces off a large red Kong toy without much effort. He's even wrecked a couple of the black Kong "Extreme" toys (which, incidentally, are not indestructible). He has not managed to do much to this other than scuff it!This and the other toys we've gotten from West Paw have held up wonderfully. They don't skimp on the amount of material they use, so you can get toys from them that are literally a thick, solid piece of material.Dog is happy.

I bought this (now named "orange thingie") for my pup as an alternative to tennis balls, for which she gets territorial over at doggie parks. I had purchased a few things from this latest shipment and wasn't sure what was what. But my pup did. I started opening the envelope and ms. lap dog (at 46 pounds) came over and gently stuffed her entire head into the envelope to investigate. She pulled this out with her tail wagging and played with it - by herself - for the next several hours. She chewed on it. carried it around, threw it up in the air for herself and got us to play a bit of tug of war with it. The tug of war was SO EASY as the orange thingie took a lot of the force that our pup usually transfers over to us. Next morning, this was the first thing she went to. She seems to really like prancing about the house with this in her mouth as orange thingie is really bouncy and rubbery. Must feel like a new, really odd sensation because the weight distribution and floppiness of it feels quite interesting even when just holding or throwing it. After seeing what she has put it through in just the day, orange thingie seems indestructible. Next stop is to see whether it works at the lake (it is supposed to float!). She's a tough chewer and loves her toys to death but I think this one might be sticking around for a while.
